On the morning of June 14^th, Chongqing Jiaotong University held a meeting to promote the internationalized undergraduate majors construction project on its dual campuses in a combination of online and offline ways. Vice President Zhang Ming, relevant directors and teachers of International Office, Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office, College of Science City, Engineering Training Center, Supervision Group and each teaching unit attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Xu Houzhi, deputy director of International Office.

Mao Mingyong, Director of International Office, firstly summarized the achievements and breakthroughs of recent years made by the university in internationalization from three aspects: implementation of the concept of internationalization by top-level design, the initial effect of serving the "Belt and Road" initiative, and the formation of the pattern of all-around and wide-ranging foreign exchanges, and introduced the background of the implementation of the project and the prospect of the university's internationalization of talent cultivation. He said that in recent years, through the establishment of international study center, the promotion of international exchange credits and the construction of internationalized undergraduate majors, the internationalization level of the university's talent cultivation has been continuously upgraded, and the faculty internationalization and the scientific research internationalization have been boosted at the same time. For the internationalized undergraduate majors construction project, he emphasized that each major should start from the internationalization of education concept, faculty, curriculum resources and student training, and strengthen the construction according to the standard.

Zheng Dan, Director of Academic Affairs Office, read out the list of 2024 internationalized undergraduate majors construction units, and Vice President Zhang Ming awarded plaques to the first batch of 15 major construction units in turn.

After the awarding, Vice President Zhang Ming put forward three requirements on how to promote the construction of internationalized undergraduate project. Firstly, fully realize that the internationalization of the transportation industry is an irreversible historical trend and a forward force for sustainable development. If we don't comprehensively promote the opening of school education to the outside world and cultivate more internationalized talents, the school will not be able to keep up with the needs of the industry and the pace of the times. Secondly, resources should be further integrated. The internationalization "Troika" promoted by the International Office and the Academic Affairs Office is very good both in terms of top-level design and system design. The next step is to make full use of and integrate the relevant resources to ensure that the benefits are maximized, and the useful experience of the first batch of internationalized professional construction should also be fed back to the construction of other majors. Thirdly, it is necessary to further condense the characteristics. All colleges should do a good job in the first batch of internationalized undergraduate majors construction project, earnestly implement and promote the relevant tasks, and earnestly summarize and condense the characteristics and highlights, so that internationalized undergraduate talent cultivation can become a highlight and a plus point in our audit and evaluation. Finally, he said that we must follow the pace of the times, strive to seize the opportunities, serve the industry, integrate into the industry, accelerate the process of internationalization of the university, make every effort to improve the internationalization of the university's talent cultivation, scientific research, and teaching staff, and provide more internationalized talents and scientific and technological achievements to the industry in line with the needs.
