Recently, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) announced the results of the "Innovative Talent International Cooperation and Training Program" for 2024. The "China-Europe Sustainable Road Infrastructure Innovation and Top Talent Program," organized and applied for by the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, was approved, marking the first time in our university's history that such a program has been approved.

The "China-Europe Sustainable Road Infrastructure Innovation and Top Talent Program" is led by Professor He Liang from the School of Civil Engineering and jointly applied for with Professor Wim Van den Bergh, the head of the road discipline at the University of Antwerp in Belgium, and Associate Professor Karol Kowalski, the head of the road discipline at the Warsaw University of Technology in Poland. The program can fully fund two doctoral students and two joint-training doctoral students each year. The partner universities include the University of Antwerp in Belgium and the Warsaw University of Technology in Poland. The approved project has a three-year implementation period (2024-2026) and will support 12 graduate students to study and exchange overseas on a rolling basis for three years, with funding of approximately 4 million yuan.

The Innovative Talent International Cooperation and Training Program was established by the China Scholarship Council to promote substantial academic exchanges and research collaboration between high-level universities and top research institutions at home and abroad, to support the construction of first-class universities and disciplines, and to further facilitate the cooperative training of innovative international talents and talents in basic disciplines. The program follows a management model of "first establishing the project, then selecting and dispatching students."
